Not My Time
12am last night..Made me realize again how I missed her birthday.
Maybe it just wasn't meant to be. I mean we weren't. It had been quite some time since I last saw her.
I should be able to see her for a last time before I leave BP..
It's been a month since I last left high school. Left behind are the memories of being nerdy, breaking school rules, attending meetings, school work, mugging..Time does past fast..Talking about high school..It's so predictable isn't it now that I'm out of it. Can't blame everything on high school. These are typical changes that teenagers experience.
Some things you gotta know about high school :
Popularity
This is something teenage boys and girls love to the max. They love to be popular..especially among their peers. Funky hairdo for the boys. Glossy clothing for the girls. The raging outlook makes them stand out from their peers. Out of nothing,it makes them popular. And then all of a sudden it becomes a trend among everyone. Aren't we forgetting personal style?
Sports. Guys who are technically good in sports are always a girl's hot target. Don't ask me why.
It just is..Guys who are actively involved in sports in high school tend to be popular. So,they get the hot dates and the non athletic guys will just walk away in embarrassment. Bo bian..
In case you didn't know, there are popular clubs or societies which apparently can only be joined by popular people..Do these clubs make you famous? They just make you more noticeable..That's all.
Oh yea..Some students try to keep a good relationship with the teachers (cover own backside) Some are just the best gossipers in town..People try to gain attention through all this.
Does it bring out the best in them?
Dating
This is should be a very common thing for most of you. I've been there myself.
Testosterone,oestrogen,progesterone..As these hormones ( I call them mood swingers) sway into your life, having an eye for the opposite sex starts to happen. Naturally, it's good. Because it promotes good social understanding and increases our birth rate. ( nonsense..increase rape rate more ) In this case, the guys and girls start to dress and make up until they become monkeys and donkeys. ( not everyone) Subsequently,they date the popular guys/girls. The bragging goes around about how he got that girl and other types of crap. Dating is ok for me. But please do get over it..
Some people cry like the world is going to end. Like there is no more guys/girls left. Jiak ba bo tai chi zo ar ?
Money
Hmm..Nothing much to discuss about this..Basically,in high school if you got the money then you got pretty much everything. You make you friends happy,you make the school proud,you get the girls,you gain popularity..Worst enough, if the rich kid attitude doesn't change..It kills you.
You lose you friends..You lose many things..
Studies
This isn't that much of a problem. But still..Some parents make a fuss out of it..Trust me..Malaysia is kiasu too..They intend to send their child to the top class where there are top teachers..WTF
Even worse,they argue and demand a change when there is an itsy bitsy mistake in their examination results..Why must they do it until the whole school knows..Stupid and immature..
This the typical life in high school..It never changes..I don't think it will..It better not change..

I will miss it..Predictable yet worth experiencing.
