As always..joy,disappointment and anger..

My school's Interact Club had their Annual General meeting yesterday..Well,as usual..the atmosphere throughout that meeting was like a string with high tension and it was going to break anytime,any hour..Even i felt the tension too..Everybody's future in the club seems to be hanging in balance..Their future was in the hands of Mr Pres..Tang..hehe...Before that,we had a speech by our teacher advisor,Ms Ho.She stressed that Interact Club is all about communication and action..Social work is the most important..Our main focus is to serve the community,sharpen leadership skills,develop youth with strong characters and also develop personal integrity..Well,after that short speech..We had our treasurer Mr Pan Jung to explain some thingy about the expenditures and incomes of the club..Well,it was short and well described i must say..Hiakz..Next,the moment everyone who had been waiting for was here..It was the time to announce the names of the new board of directors..It started with the directors,sergeant-at arms,club service director...and bla bla~For your info,I got IU director as my post..We'll just skip to the three highest posts of the club..since everyone is quite interested in this three persons who are going to these posts..And...the vice president goes to Steven..deputy goes to Jin Hao aka Captain Kuek..The Mr Pres for the year 2007/2008 will be Keruey..Oooos and aaaas filled the whole class..Some of the were in a gay mood..but some were just frustrated coz they didn't get the posts that they desired..This is the part where i really didn't understand..What's all the fuss about all the position thing anyway..?Basically,i join Interact Club to serve the society..do social work..learn more things..So,what's the point of those posts anyway..If somebody is in the club just because of the posts..then he shouldn't even be here...We're here to serve and not show off and make a hype out of our posts.We should stay humble and down to earth as what Ms Ho has said..I don't think there is a huge difference in the high posts such as president,secretary,and treasurer compared to the other directors.. It doesn't mean that if you're the pres or secretary,you have the power to voice out your opinions and the others don't..Everybody has the right to speak up..The only thing i think is different is that these people with high posts have the capability and responsibility to carry out their duties as pres,secretary or treasurer very well..That's why they were picked by the seniors and i totally respect their decision..In my opinion,i think the three presidents chosen are the best of the best..They're the best pick for these three posts..The seniors has really made a good choice.Overall,the most important thing is that the whole new board of directors must work together in order to achieve the goals of the Interact Club.. :p
